When you collect your vehicle we’ll make an authorization on your credit card for the full hire cost, any extras and the excess amount, depending on your choice of insurance. We won’t take full payment until you return your vehicle.

Bring Back Full  
No charge – even if you took the Fuel Up Front option below when you picked up your car.  Simply return the car with a full tank of fuel.  

Fuel Up Front  
Buy a full tank of fuel upfront – at the average market pump price – so you don’t have to refuel before you return the vehicle.  
 
Pay On Return  
If you haven't got time to refuel and haven’t taken Fuel Up Front, we can do it for you. But this is the most expensive option.  

Parking in Klaksvík, Tórshavn, Runavík and at Vágar Airport is restricted. Parking discs must be displayed in the lower right-hand corner of the front windscreen, showing the time you parked your car. All our rental cars are equipped with these parking discs.

Parking violations will incur a fine of DKK 200.

We will block the estimated rental amount, and we place an additional hold of DKK 2.500 on your card to cover the cost of any extras, fuel and services you didn’t pay upfront, and the excess amount, depending on your choice of insurance, either DKK 7.500 or DKK 0.

If you select the extra insurance, SCDW:

A credit card and a drivers license held for a minimum of one year, and you must be at least 21 years of age.

Unfortunatly not. You choose a car group, not a specific make or model. We’ll show you an example from that group to give you a clear idea of the type of vehicle you will get.

Remember to book at least 24 hours before your journey so we can assure a prepared car for you

Yes, one-way rental is possible between our stations at Vagar Airport and Tórshavn only.
 

We understand you might get delayed, so we try to be flexible.
If you’re running late or need to extend your car rental - do make sure you contact us as soon as possible.

Should you return the vehicle late - without notifying us or extending your hire - you may be subject to a late return fee.

How is a late return fee applied?

• If you overrun past your agreed return date and time, you will incur a late return fee
• If you still haven't returned the vehicle 24 hours later, then another late return fee will be applied
• A late return fee will continue to be added every 24 hour period thereafter, until you return the vehicle to the rental station

Please note, if you return your vehicle after the agreed date and time, you will pay an additional days rental charge - plus a late return fee for each day that you are late.

Yes, the additional driver charge is DKK 60 per day for each additional driver. The additional driver must meet the same requirements as the renter.

We will always try to make this possible, depending on the time of arrival. Please contact us to request an early- or late arrival pick up.

For customers who have made advance reservations and who have encountered flight delays, it is our policy to honor a reservation for up to 24 hours, or longer if possible. 

FOR SHORTER DELAYS we will remain open to meet the later arrival. 

FOR LONGER DELAYS with arrivals after midnight we will, upon agreement, make the necessary arrangements. 

In all cases however, this must be agreed with- and confirmed by us directly. Therefore, you must please make sure to contact us directly to inform about the delay and confirm your delayed arrival.

Yes, we deliver and/or collect cars at selected Hotels in Torshavn. Please contact us to request delivery & collection.

The excess is the amount you pay if something goes wrong during your journey. For example, if you have an accident. The amount you pay depends on the vehicle you hire and whether you choose to reduce the excess by upgrading your level of cover.

The excess charge with CDW (included in every rental): Up to DKK 7.500
The excess charge with SCDW: None

The tunnel passages are handled digitally with camera operated license plate registration and will be registered automatically to the car rental invoice at the end of the rental
